Mohawk College’s IDEAWORKS recently hosted Ideas to Impact 2025, celebrating student innovation, the past 5 years of Applied Research, and community collaboration. The gathering featured a student poster competition judged by Sarah Dimick, Irene Amog, and Ahmed Tanashi, with awards for Judges’ Choice and Audience Choice.

Dr. Cebert Adamson opened with a leadership address, followed by Cristina Gage, Dean of Applied Research, who presented a five-year Impact Report highlighting the institution’s research achievements.

A panel discussion on “Innovation in Hamilton” featured insights from Julie Florio, Stephanie Holko, and Michael R. Jones, moderated by Alex Muggah. The event closed with Jeff McIsaac awarding student winners and offering closing remarks.

Special guests included Monica Ciriello, MPP for Hamilton Mountain, and Paul Armstrong, President of Mohawk College, both recognized for their continued support.
