Emerging researchers can apply for funding from the Steeves Family Innovation Fund, an internal funding support program that will help you launch your research career and begin your first collaboration with a partner.

Resources for Faculty

Research activities at Mohawk College are supported by the team at IDEAWORKS in consultation with your associate dean. Whatever your question, we are here to help and guide you through the process.

The Applied Researcher Pathway is a structured approach to introduce you to applied research and help you build your capacity. When you book a meeting with Andrea Johnson at CERI, she’ll show you how you will move through the five stages in a structured and supported way.

Are you a new or emerging applied researcher? Take advantage of our on-demand training modules and learn at your own pace!

Over the four modules of Applied Research 101 you’ll learn the basic principles of applied research and develop an understanding of what it takes to complete an applied research project. You’ll also learn more about what it takes to be an applied researcher and make an educated and informed decision as to whether this is the right path for you.

Information about how to register for free as a Mohawk employee is available on MyMohawk under the VP Academic Section.

Applications for the Steeves Family Innovation Fund are accepted annually. Access current guidelines and the application form (access restricted to Mohawk employees) or use visit MyMohawk and find it under the VP Academic section.
